Full Description
The Canterbury UAD states that nothing has been found out about this inn which is shown in St. George's Street at the corner of St. George's Lane on the 1st edition O. S. map of 1874. Nothing obvious is listed in Bedwell's Directory for 1888-89, suggesting that it had closed by that date.
The site has been totally re-developed as part of the 2002-2003 Whitfriars Redevelopment programme and is occupied by Fenwick's Department Store.
