Full Description
Reputed site of St Augustine's Oak, 30m south-east of St Augustine's Cross. A small natural hill exists here. According to legend Augustine arranged a meeting with some of the native clergy some time between 602 and 604 at an oak tree that became known as St Augustine's Oak. It is not known for sure where in England this was.
