Full Description

A rectangular shaped structure, built of flint and ragstone blocks, about 40 feet long E-W by about 36 feet wide, with an entrance way on the south side to the north of Forrens Gate adjacent to the City Wall. The structure was part of a stable block erected by Prior Henry of Eastry in the late 13th /early 14th century and repaired under Prior Chillenden a century later.

The stables were demolished in the 1920's and replaced with a smaller stable built of brick. This was later converted into the Dean's garage and later still into a house.
