Full Description

A rectangular range of buildings were erected imediately south of and adjoining the south side of the Infirmary Hall during the 14th century. The range meaures about 115 feet in length E-W by about 35 feet in width N-S and is divided up into a series of various sized rooms, perhaps built over two storeys. Traces of long walls running south from this range suggests that there may have been another range running from the south side of the complex and Infirmary Hall to the position of the former St. Pancras' Church site.

Buildings such as these gathered around the Infirmary can be paralleled on many other monastic sites such as Peterborough; Ely; and at Christ Church Priory Canterbury, and would appear to have provided chambers for senior monk's within the monastery in the later 14th to mid 16th centuries.
