Full Description
The Reredorter, or monk's Latrine block was situated adjoining and at right angles to the northern end of the Dormitory Range on its eastern side. Probably built at the same time as the dormitory block in 1099 during the abaccy of Abbot Hugh I of Fleury, and it is likely that it replaced an earlier example.
The Reredorter was a long rectangular range measuring siome 193 feet in length E-W by 24 feet in width N-S, with access directly from the monk's dormitory. At present, nothing more is known about this structure.
