Full Description
During the East Kent Access Route excavations (2009-2011) a small number of early prehistoric finds were recovered from zone 12. These included 3 sherds of neolithic pottery and several pieces of neolithic or bronze age struck flint (scrapers, blades and flakes). The excavators suggested that the finds indicated neolithic activity in the vicinity, possibly on the higher ground to the north-east. (1)
