Full Description
A long passage was constructed running south-west from St. Peter's Street, and walled either side, so as to provide access of members of the public to the church without straying into the frairy precincts. There was a gate at the St. Peter's Street end of the passage and another at the start of the precincts boundary further to the south. The passage was probably constructed at or soon after the building of the church c. 1267. The passage still remains as a public right of way.
