Full Description

Little is known of this area. It is believed that most of the conventual buildings constructed from 1267 onwards lay on the land to the north of the river Stour. The south-eastern area, however, which is where the original temporary buildings may have been situated, was during the 13th century and later probably used as a service court for the friary and other buildings may have been erected here during the lifetime of the friary, which was suppressed at the Dissolution in 1538.
