Monument record TR 15 NW 1783 - Prehistoric Occupation (1 Marlowe Arcade)

Summary

A cobble floor was also revealed, possibly belonging to an early 1st century timber building, it was covered with a thick occupation layer which contained early Samian sherds. This was overlain by a collapsed clay wall containing a pot dated to c. 60-75 AD, probably the time when the building went out of use.
