Full Description
In 1948-50 Frank Jenkins and John Boyle excavated a site on the north west side of St John's Lane. A site code was subsequently alloted, SJL51 and the RCHME reference is 639738.
A crouched burial of Iron Age or Belgic Date was discovered in a small trench in this carpark. The skeleton, that of an adult female of c. 21 year was found wearing an iron bangle.
