Reference from archaeological survey: "Southeast pigsties, used as dog kennels. C.1880s. Yellow brick, the yard walls with blue gazed bull-nose brick coping; gabled slate roof, the slates nailed onto sarking boards. The stys are the southeast group of 2 sets. These are sited at right angles to the hay store and stables, roofed on a northwest-southeast axis. They are arranged back-to-back, 4 stys on the northeast side (2 double stys in the centre), 6 on the southwest side. Each sty has a small round-headed doorways.
