Full Description
Reference from archaeological survey: "Stable? Or possibly dairy; still partly in use for horses. C.1880s. Yellow Flemish bond brick; slate roof, gabled at ends with louvred ventilator on ridge. One of the outer buildings of a compact planned farmyard. Roofed on a southwest-northeast axis, opposite the haystore to ots northwest. The front (northwest side) has 4 doorways, (one double) and 2 windows. Interior divided into 3 single and one double stable. Roof boarded behind into 3 single and one double stable. Roof boarded rafters; collars nailed to principles. Brick crosswalls." (1)
