Full Description

Reference from archaeological survey: "Working-horse stables. Flemish-bond yellow brick with red brick dressings; slate roof, hipped at ends. The stable range is roofed on a southwest-northeast axis and is parallel to the dung-pit on the northwest side of the yard. Neatly-constructed with red brick to the low jambs and corners and a corbelled brick eaves cornice. 4 doorways alternate eith orginal top-hung small-pane windows. Rear wall has brick pilastersand forms one boundary of a small stockyard between the rear of the building and the road. Interior has a boarded roof; ridgeboard; nailed collars. Brick-paved floors, some tethering rings survive." (1)
