Full Description

Reference from Archaeological Survey: "'Granary' (described as such by farmer), used as workshop. Probably ealry 19th century. Timber-framed and weatherboarded on Flemish bond brick footings; peg-tile roof, half-hipped at ends. Sited at an oblique angle to the barn, roofed on a northwest - southeast axis and making up the northeast boundary of the loosely-arranged yard. Built into the slope of the land which rises to the northwest. The elevation facing the yard has a vertical plank door to the left and a stable door to the right. Small window in the left return. Rear elevation has flight of steps up to doorway to the north with a probably re-used 2-light diamond leaded pane window alongside to the south. The brick footings at the rear are buttressed. Inside the roof has been entirely renewed." (1)
