Reference from Archaeological Survey: "Wagon lodge. Later 18th century with later a;terations. Red brick laid to ireegular bond on flint footings, west end rebuilt withn weatherboarded timber framing; hipped pegtile roof. Wagon lodge built onto west end of the store/granary. It backs onto the drive facing south into the rickyard. Open front of 3 bays separated by broad brick piers. Rebuild of west wall may suggest it once extended further west but was certainly on the 1907 map. 4-bay roof defined by tiebeams (now augmented with iron straps). Collared common rafter trusses above ties clasping puyrlins and with raking queen struts, all neatly carpentered with pegged joints." (1)
