Full Description

Reference from Archaeological Survey: "Cartshed or open-fronted stock house converted to fowl house. Pre 1841, probably c.1820. Timber-framed and weatherboarded on brick footings; peg-tile roof, hipped at ends. The cartshed is roofed on a northwest - osutheast axis and adjoins the west barn at its northeast corner. 3 bays, originally open fronted on the southwest side, which faces into the yard between the west barn at its northeast corner. 3 bays, originally open fronted on the southwest sidem which faces into the yard between the west barn and the road. Conversion to fowl-house involved infilling the open-fronted bays, knocking a doorway through the southeast end and adding a row of nesting boxes on posts, projecting of the northeast side with a sloping corrugated iron roof and corrugated iron hanging lids."
