Full Description
Reference from Archaeological Report: "Open-fronted stockshed or cartshed. On an approximate NS axis, at the S end of the farmyard, some distance from the farmhouse and back to back with another, later building. Fronts a track NE of the main group of farmbuildings. A building on the same site appears on the 1872 OS Map and by 1908 the arrangement of stockyards suggests that this building and its neighbour to the rear were used for keeping and separting cattle of different years. However, the construction of this building suggests that it was open-fronted both sides and may originally have been a cartshed associated with the circulation system of the farmyard at a date where both barns were used for threshing and crop storage."
