Whole of structure uncovered, except for extreme south-west corner, having been destroyed by a recent brick wall. Considerably smaller then Hut 1, measuring c.3.8m by 3.2m. It was likewise recessed into underlying layers.
Several postholes found which at the south and east ends mount gradually up the slope onto the higher ground. Interior postholes found on the south-west; they were associated with a hollow 15cm deeper then the floor, probably the entrance porch.

Hut floor was indistinct but a considerable amount of Anglo-Saxon occupation material yielding five Roman Coins (Geta 200-202; Barbarous radiate 270-90; Constantine II 330-5; Valens 364-78; House of Theodosius post 383) was found inside the hut. This occupation material consisted of light loamy soil containing bones, oysters, tiles, flint and some burnt daub, yeilding sherds dateable to sixth century. In the south side was a patch of flint surrounded by tiles, charcoal and burnt clay; the flints were not burnt but this was probably the edge of a fireplace.The mass of closely-positioned post-holes on the west and south side of this hut indicated rebuilding, but there was no sign of a secondary floor.

This hut like Hut 1 was finally burnt down. Burnt layer sealing occupation layers and postholes.
