Monument record TR 15 NW 1938 - Anglo-Saxon Hut 4 Simon Langton Yard

Summary

Cut into by Medieval pits, and walls largely indistinct. The floor, however, was, in parts, better preserved then in the other huts and there were definite signs of a secondary surface. Primary floor was formed of Roman Mortar and loam and this was overlaid by a thin layer of occupation earth. Several hearths were found and there was a scatter of charcoal and red flecks from these on the floors.
