Monument record TR 15 NE 146 - Anglo-Saxon St Pancras Church
Summary
Excavations proceeded to the depth of floor level of the church. The plan of the chapel was revealed as well as later alterations and additions. The original floor was white cement, later paved with coloured tiles in the Medieval period. Roman structural elements were seen to be incorporated within the chapel, though the church was interpreted as Saxon in date.
