Monument record TR 15 NE 1462 - Anglo-Saxon Tombs/Structure at St Augustine's Abbey
Summary
Between 1914 and 1915 R. Potts and W. H. St John Hope excavated the Quire, Rotunda, the Porticus of St Gregory and various tombs within St Augutine's Abbey. Beneath the quire, traces of an earlier structure were found, interpreted as a tower begun by Abbot Wulfric in the mid 1th century.
