Monument record TR 15 NE 1466 - Anglo-Saxon Structures
Summary
In 1999 (?) The Canterbury Archaeological Trust excavated on a site to the north of St George's Street, to the left of St George's Clocktower. The work was funded by Land Securities Plc. And was part of the redevelopment of the Whitefrairs area. The excavation revealed parts of the apisidal Roman buiding, revealed in previous work in the area. Later sub-Roman buildings were also seen.
