Summary
Two mid-late Saxon structures were uncovered on the CB/ RV site. The earliest, a building of post hole construction possibly set on the ground surface, was mostly outside the excavated area. The second structure perhaps of 9th or 10th century date was built between the walls of the Roman South Portico and was a well preserved cellared building of rectangular plan.
