Full Description
Reference from Archaeological Survey: "Cattleshed early 19th century with hayloft. Weatherboarded timber framing on stone rubble footings; asbestos slate roof, formely pegtile. Broad building on a rough north-south axis projecting into the farmyard from the southern end. The projecting into the farmyard from the southern end. The southern end was rebuilt in the early 20th century as a granary or store with framed walls and doorway from the drive (to south). The early maps appear to show 3 pigsties here with small yards towards the drive and the stone rubble footings of the present building are probably reused from the stys. The main building was open-fronted on both sides and lofted. The upper section of the axial frmaed partition remains but the ground floor sections has been removed…" (1)
