Full Description

Reference from Archaeological Survey: "Barn with, according to 1991 list description, adjoining chaff house (access to the later unobtainable on survey). Barn 2 phases, probably both 17th century - early 18th century; chaff house later. Barn originally timber-framed, underbuilt in english garden wall bond; corrugated asbestos roof, hipped at east end of south range, gabled at north end of north range. Chaff house with lower roofline, also underbuilt in brick. L-plan barn of 2 different phases. The south range, roofed on a west-east axis, is the earlier. It is 4 bays, aisled, with an east end aisle. The 4th post from the left is number v, suggesting that the right (west end) was demolished when the north range was added…" (1)
