Full Description
Reference from Archaeological Survey: "Cartshed. C.1820s. Timber-framed on brick footings; pantile roof, gabled at ends. Rectangular 5-bay cartshed sited at right angles to Upper Austin Lodge Road and facing the entrance to the farmyard. Timber posts dividing the bays have diagonal braces to the wallplate. Slender wall-framing with diagonal braces. Some 20th century internal partitons, the fourth bay from the left enclosed by modern partitions. Said to be in separate ownership from the barn and granary. The 1908 OS map shows an enclosed yard in front of the cartshed." (1)
