Full Description
Reference from Archaeological Survey: "Cartshed. Apparently second half of 19th century, but, since a building is shown here on the tithe map, probably a rebuild of an earlier cartshed. Rear wall of English bond red brick faced up on the inside with yellow brick; slate roof. Low open-fronted building facing north west into the farmyard, butting against the stable. Next to the stable, at the south east end of the range, is a small brick tack room containing a doorway with a window alongside (now boarded up). 6-bay cartshed. Open front of plain posts on brick pedestals and curving timbers in each bay give each bay a segemental arch head. Arch-braced tie beams, collared trusses with raking queen struts. North east end wall is weatherboarded under roof hip. Now the cartshed is divided into 43 by a brick crosswall every second bay." (1)
