Full Description

Reference from Archaeological Survey: "Coach house. This is difficult to date since no internal inspection was available at the time of the survey. From the outside it appears late 19th century but must be assumed to be early-mid 19th since building appears here on the 1844 tithe map. Weatherboarded timber frame on red brick footings; corrugated asbestos roof is hipped both ends. Single storey coach house on rough northeast-southwest axis facing southeast towards the farmhouse. Front has full height double doorway at right (northeast) end, a 20th leanto outshut on the left end and 2 central fixed-pane windows between; a 2-pane window to right and a 6-pane window to left 9another similar 6-pane window in the right end wall)…"(1)
