Full Description
Reference from Archaeological Survey: "Mid 19th century origins cartshed at Sextries, enlarged and reroofed in the 20th century. Rear (northwest) wall of Flemish bond red brick with some burnt headers. A building appears here on the maps between 1844 and 1873. It is built between the workshop and the barn backing onto the lane and facing southeast into the yard. It is 2 bays wide and open fronted. It is now 3 bays deep but the 1873 and 1907 OS maps show that was formely only one bay deep. The rear posts are plain timber posts which maybe original front but the others are 20th concrete and the low pitch roof is 20th." (1)
