Summary

The excavations uncovered part of a masonry building probably erected at the beginning of the third century on the site of a late first or early second-century building. The external walls and one internal wall were built of substantial flints and mortar, with tile quoins, on gravel footings; other internal walls were represented by slots for timber partitions.
