Monument record TR 15 NE 1474 - Roman Drain off St George's Street/Rose Lane/The Parade areas

Summary

Here the structure was better preserved and the seating for its vault could be seen. In both sections the drain overlay an early ditch, probably Belgic in origin. The drain itself appears to date from the mid-second century c. 150-60 AD seems likely for its construction.
