Monument record TR 15 NE 1491 - Roman Metalling, south side of Cathedral, The Precincts

Summary

A trench was dug in order to carry television cable ducting from the nave to the roadway to its south. The trench was about 0.5m deep and appeared to cut solely through loams. Although an area of Roman metalling appears to have been revealed.
