Monument record TR 15 NW 2012 - Roman Wall, east of Watling Street
Summary
In 2001 The Canterbury Archaeological Trust excavated on a site behind St George's Terrace, behind the line of the City Wall and to the north of Riding Gate. The work was funded by Land Securities and was prior to the redevelopment of the bus station. The work revealed traces of the Medieval rampart and some Roman remains.
