Monument record TR 15 NW 2018 - Roman Hypocaust, Hospital Lane
Summary
Pilbrow observed Roman wall foundations with Roman tiles laid flat, and some sloped at an angle and well made angle tiles with a central circular hole in one of the sides (two tiles placed together formed a flue). They were blackened by fire internally. These remains were considered to have been a part of a Roman house and hypocaust system.
