Blue plaque in Chatham Historical Dockyard, The Old Surgery, The Historic Dockyard to the Maudslay Rope-forming Machine Designed and manufactured in 1811 by Henry Maudslay (1711-1831). It was used to re-rope HMS Victory and is still in use today. Erected by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers on 02 April 1986.
