Full Description
Reference from Archaeological survey: "Oasthouse, used as garage. Sited S of the house, built on a NS axis, W side on to the main road. C.1850s, not shown on the 1842 tithe map but a building on the site is shown on the 1872 OS map. Purple stones rubble with red brick dressings; peg-tile roof, gabled at ends; kiln truncated and roofed over with corrugated iron. Small rectangular stowage with secondary projecting brick porch on E side with corrugated iron roof and paired timber doors. Stowage has one first floor window to the right and a flight of steps up to a doorway with plank door to the left. Kiln was brick on deep stone plinth, most of upper parts removed." (1)
