Full Description
Reference from archaeological survey: "5-bay threshing barn, now used to store fruit-packing boxes. Sited E of the farmhouse, built on a NS axis, fronting the entrance into the yard which has been redeveloped with modern buildings for fruit-packing. Probably late 18th to early 19th century, shown on the 1842 tithe map as part of a yard of buildings in front of the N-facing house which now has a garden in front. Timber-framed and weatherboarded (some replacement with corrugated iron) on purple stone rubble footings; slte roof, half-hipped at ends; corrugated iron roof of to E side porch. Stone rubble addition at S end with flat corrugated iron roof to E side porch. Stone rubble addition at S end with flat corrugated roof; partly brick building with monopitch roof on W side." (1)
