Full Description

Reference from archaelogical survey: "Diesel store. Mid-late 20th century, older origins. English bond red brick; gable-ended pegtile roof. Tall but relatively small building a short distance north of the oasthouse. It is built acrosss the hillslope (terraced into it at the rear) facing south towards the oast. The lower courses of the walls appear to be older but the layout and function of this older building is unknown. Front has a wide full height doorway left (west) of centre containing metal-clad double doors. Louvred vents in end wall gables. A pipe from high in the east end connects the diesel store and the oast. No measurements taken." (1)
