Reference from archaeological survey: "Oasthouse. Main stowage is galleted ragstone rubble laind to rough courses up to first floor of weatherboarded timber framing, crosswing and hopkiln is Flemish bond brick with decorative burnt headers and upper floor of crosswing is mostly weatherboarded timber framing; gable-ended slate roofs. Oasthouse built in west corner of inner courtyard. L-plan building with circular hopkiln in angle of wings…" (1)
