Full Description

Reference from archaeological survey: "Oasthouse. Most of the stowage block is weatherboarded timber framing but southern three bays have English red brick walls up to the first floor level; rear hopkiln is ragstone rubble with corbelled brick cornice, end hopkiln is Flemish bond red brick with corbelled cornice; pegtile roofs. Relatively long stowage block on rough northend and another close by off the rear wall. Stowage is 6 byas. North end 3 bays are open0fronted at ground level, with plain timber posts and short straight arch braces. Southern end front is brick and contains wide doorway (now with sliding door) and window to right…" (1)
