Full Description

Reference from archaeological survey; "Dated 1830. Weatherboarded timber frame on a low flemish bond red brick footings which include some burnt headers. Midstrey bond roof is pegtiled, the main roof is corrugated asbestos. According to the farmer the barn was thatched up until circa 1940. 3-bay barn facing west with rear aisle. Opposing doors to central threshing floor. No other openings. Roof is half-hipped both ends and front original framing intact. Main posts are oak but rest includes pine. Walls of two-tier framing with straight tension braces…" (1)
