Full Description

Reference from archaeological survey; "Cattleshed. Dated 1830. Weatherboarded timber frame on low flemish bond red brick footings (continuous with footings of barn); corrugated asbestos roof (thatch up until 1940 according to the farmer) hipped south end. Built onto south end of barn with rear wall on same line as barn but front wall set back from front. It is nevertheless taller and wider than the cartshed on northend of barn. 2 bays, originally open-fronted onto farmyard to west, but front now filled with late 20th century concrete block and it contains 20th century door. Interior not accessible but roof is 2 bays with tie beam truss and clasped purlin construction. No photograph or measurements." (1)
