Full Description

Reference from archaeological survey: "Cartshed. Weatherboarded timber frame on low flemish bond red brick footings (continous with footings of barn); corrugated asbestos roof (thatch up until 1940 according to the farmer) hipped north end. Origibally open-fronted. Built onto the north end of the barn the 2-bay cartshed faces west onto farmyard. Rear is on same line as rear wall of barn but front set well back. Some evidence on front for central post and curving braces. Timber frame of relatively slender scantling (mostly plastered over internally) and 2-bay roof of tie beam trusses and clasped purlin construction. No measurements." (1)
