Full Description

Reference from archaeolgical survey: "Probable cartshed. Sited east of the farmhouse, on a northsouth axis and forming the eastern side of an enclosed yard of buildings and backing onto the road. Although not entirely clear, there appears to be a building on the same site by 1872 (not on the 1839 tithe map). Reat wall stone rubble, other walls timber-framed, concrete tile roof, gabled at ends. May have been built up againts the pre-existing yard wall, and was perhaps originally open fronted. Doorway on the front (W) flanked by posts, one window to right. Interior has roof of 20th century appearance, 2 tie beam trusses with halved nailed joints and clasped purlins." (1)
