Full Description

Reference from archaeological survey: "Probably 1880s (between 1871 and 1908). L -shaped plan, with an obtuse angle at the junction, attached to the N end outshut of the barn. Mostly concrete block but probably originally brick with timber-framed gables and definitely open-fronted; slate roof…" (1)

4-bay barn with evidence for former aisles. Built in the 18th century but greatly altered in the 20th century, re-roofed above tie beam level and adapted for pig pens. Timber-framed with corrugated iron roof (formerly thatched), gabled at ends, most of weatherboarding replaced or removed. Surrounded on all sides by 20th century outshuts with shallow-pitched tin roofs and brick or concrete block walls.
