Monument record TR 15 NW 2079 - Roman Street Metalling, St. Dunstan's Churchyard Cemetery
Summary
A thick deposit of Roman street metalling was exposed immediately south of and partially beneath the modern London Road. South of the Roman street a layer, 0.8m thick, was located of dark brown silty brickearth flecked with carbon and burnt clay and though to be Roman. However no contemporary burials were located or features were seen.
