Monument record TR 15 NW 2096 - Roman Field System, Wincheap Park and Ride
Summary
The features were interpreted as part of a field system situated on fertile soil just above the river, with no trace of it extending further up the less fertile higher ground to the south. Some produced pottery which ranged from the pre-Roman Belgic period to the late 4th century AD, with most pottery dated to the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD.
