Monument record TR 15 NW 2105 - Roman Inhumation Burials, north of 15 Station Road East

Summary

In 1999 The Canterbury Archaeological Trust was informed of the discovery of a skeleton within the basement of 15 Station Road East. The skeleton had been much disturbed by the building work being carried out but it was estimated to be female and aged about 30-45 years old at time of death. It was thought likely the burial was Roman as the area is known to be within a Roman cemetery.
