Monument record TR 15 NW 2116 - Roman or medieval burial mound, Canterbury East Station, St. Mary Bredin School

Summary

A Roman cremation burial was discovered in the mound, which was formerly an orchard, during the levelling operation. The observer records 'on inspection of the mound raised over the place of the interment, I found it to contain many fragments of brick, pottery, oyster-shells and animal bones'.
