Monument record TR 15 NE 1539 - Roman Buildings, front of 11 St. George's Street
Summary
The earliest feature was mid first century through which had been dug a Roman pit, yielded pre-Flavian Samian. The pit was joined to a possibly drainage gully. Parts of two successive Roman timber building were found, but the cellar was too small for coherent plans to be recovered. A wall was represented by several post holes and a slot dug into the brickearth.
